Iranian Passport applications

Looking to issue or re-issue an Iranian passport (اطلاعات چگونگی درخواست گذرنامه)? Some of these forms and documents can be signed in front of a notary public (دفتر اسناد رسمی) so that you don’t have to travel to Canberra.

Verifying your identity and witnessing your signature

The primary purposes for notarising your document is to:

  1. Verify your identity according to your primary photo identification document (ie, passport or Australian driver licence)
  2. Witness your signature, and verify that you’re the person who signed your document.

This generally means that when you bring your document for notarisation, you must also bring your photo identification document. You should complete your document in full, ensuring that the information contained is current and correct. However, you should only sign your document in front of the notary public.

Notary public services for Iran

As a leading provider of notary public services, we often assist clients with notarising documents for use in Iran or with the Embassy. The Embassy requires some documents (and forms) to be signed and witnessed by a notary public. For us to assist you, it’s always best for you to make an appointment. While an appointment isn’t necessary, it’s highly recommended.

Due to our high volume of enquiries and back-to-back appointments, we might not be able to assist you when you visit if you don’t have an appointment. Appointments just allow us to properly manage who we can assist and when we can assist them. This cuts down on delays and waiting times and so we appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this process.
