Malaysia – AirAsia X Proof of Debt

Claiming a refund from AirAsia X?

AirAsia XAirAsia X is currently in the process of restructuring its debt. As part of the debt restructuring, AirAsia X has invited its passengers (and other creditors) to submit Proof of Debt forms – potentially with a view to receiving a refund.

If you are an eligible passenger who may be entitled to a refund (on satisfactory proof of your debt), you should have received a letter, the Proof of Debt (POD) form, and instructions as to what to do next. You must complete the POD form and return it, with the required supporting evidence, to AirAsia X by 7 April 2021.

According to AirAsia X instructions, the POD form should be affirmed by a Commissioner for Oaths (in Malaysia) or such other equivalent qualified person. If you live in New South Wales, this means you must sign your POD form in front of a notary public.
