Indonesia becomes a member of the Apostille Convention
Apostille for Indonesia?
On 5 October 2021, Indonesia became the latest country to become a member of the Apostille Convention. From 4 June 2022, Indonesia will accept documents stamped with an apostille from other member countries.
The previous process of having documents legalised no longer applies. Legalisation involves authenticating documents with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and then legalised by the Indonesian Consulate.
