Some documents must also be countersigned by the Indian Consulate / VFS. You should check with whoever you are dealing with in India (preferably your lawyer) whether this is required. Unfortunately, our clients sending documents to India have experienced all different variations of the requirements and yet they all seem to be acceptable - so obtain the advice from India first (preferably from your lawyer).
